Names of the seven films present at the Retrospective of Korean Cinema section of the 35th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival have been released.
‘The Table’ directed by Kim Jong-kwan, ‘The Net’ directed by Kim Ki-duk, ‘Train to Busan’ directed by Yeon Sang-ho and ‘The Tunnel’ directed by Kim Seong-hun are in the Korean lineup.
The list also includes ‘The Throne’ directed by Lee Joon-ik, ‘The Last Princess’ directed by Hur Jin-ho as well as ‘Luck-Key’ directed by Lee Gae-byok.
The selected pictures either have a historical perspective or illustrate the modern social life of their respective countries.
Established in 1982, Fajr International Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.
Since its establishment, Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
The 35th International Fajr Film Festival is scheduled to take place in the country’s capital of Tehran from April 21 through 28, 2017.
